Welcome to Let's Ride Along. These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and Codebirds governing your access to and use of the Let's Ride Along mobile application and the website at letsridealong.com (together, the "Service"). By creating an account, downloading the app, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Who "Codebirds" Is
Codebirds is not a registered company, corporation, LLP, partnership, or other formal legal entity in India or any other country. "Codebirds" is a name used by an independent, unincorporated group of individual software developers (the "Developers") who design, build, and operate the Service together.
Wherever these Terms refer to "Codebirds," "we," "us," or "our," that means this group of Developers collectively, and, where the context requires, each Developer individually. Because Codebirds is not incorporated, you are contracting directly with the individual Developers who operate the Service.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you are 18 or older and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. Organizing and joining real-world group motorcycle rides is not appropriate for minors, and the Service is not directed at anyone under 18.
4. Your Account
You register using your mobile phone number and a one-time passcode (OTP). You are responsible for keeping your phone number and account access secure, and for all activity under your account.
You must provide accurate information (name, profile details, garage/bike information) and keep it up to date.
One account per person. You may not share, sell, or transfer your account.
You must hold a valid license to operate any vehicle you list or ride in connection with the Service, and valid registration and insurance as required by applicable law.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that provide false information or violate these Terms or the Ride Code of Conduct.
5. What the Service Is — and Is Not
Let's Ride Along is a discovery and coordination tool. It lets riders find rides, host rides, track routes, log memories, and connect with other riders.
Let's Ride Along, and Codebirds, do not:
Organize, supervise, lead, guide, or physically host any ride.
Vet, background-check, license-verify, or certify the skill, experience, or roadworthiness of any user, host, vehicle, or route.
Guarantee the safety, accuracy, or condition of any route, road, weather forecast, or riding companion.
Act as a travel agent, tour operator, transportation provider, or common carrier.
Any ride, meetup, or route you find or organize through the Service is created and run entirely by users — not by Codebirds.
6. Riding Is Dangerous — Assumption of Risk
⚠ Please read this section carefully
Operating a motorcycle, and riding in a group, carries inherent risks, including serious injury or death, and property damage. These risks include, without limitation: other riders' skill and behavior, road and traffic conditions, weather, mechanical failure, and the actions of other road users.
By using the Service to find, join, or host a ride, you voluntarily and knowingly assume all risks associated with that ride, whether known or unknown. You are solely responsible for deciding whether to join or host any given ride, for wearing appropriate protective gear, for riding within your skill level, for obeying all applicable traffic laws, and for the condition, licensing, registration, and insurance of your vehicle.
Codebirds is not responsible for the conduct of any user, on or off the road, and is not liable for any accident, injury, death, or loss arising from a ride organized or discovered through the Service. See Section 14 (Limitation of Liability) and our Ride Code of Conduct for more.
7. Content You Post
"User Content" means anything you upload or post — profile photos, bike/garage details, ride photos, "memories," comments, and similar content.
You keep ownership of your User Content. By posting it, you grant Codebirds a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, and display it as necessary to operate the Service (for example, showing your ride photos to other participants).
You are solely responsible for your User Content. You confirm you have the rights to post it and that it does not infringe anyone else's rights or violate any law.
Don't post anything illegal, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit, or that reveals someone else's private information without consent.
We may remove User Content, or suspend accounts, that violate these Terms or the Ride Code of Conduct, without notice.
8. Community Conduct
All users must follow our Ride Code of Conduct, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Violating it may result in warnings, suspension, or a permanent ban, at our discretion.
9. Ranks, XP, and Badges
Squadron ranks, experience points (XP), and peer badges are for fun and community recognition only. They have no cash or real-world value, cannot be bought, sold, or transferred, and Codebirds may adjust, reset, or remove them at any time without liability.
10. Third-Party Services
The Service uses third-party infrastructure to operate, including Google Maps Platform (for maps and routes) and Firebase/Google (for authentication and related services). Your use of these features is also subject to Google's own terms and privacy policy. We are not responsible for the availability or accuracy of third-party services.
11. Intellectual Property
The Service — including its name, logo, design, and underlying software — is owned by Codebirds and its Developers. Except for your own User Content, you may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from the Service without permission.
12. Termination
You may stop using the Service, and request deletion of your account, at any time by contacting we@letsridealong.com. We may suspend or terminate your access at any time, with or without notice, for any violation of these Terms or the Ride Code of Conduct, or for any other reason at our discretion.
13. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or safety of any route, ride, or user-submitted information.
14. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Codebirds and its individual Developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any personal injury, death, or property damage arising from your use of the Service or participation in any ride. Because the Service is provided free of charge, Codebirds' total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising from the Service shall not exceed ₹0 (zero). Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.
15. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Codebirds and each of its individual Developers from any claim, damage, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of: (a) your use of the Service; (b) your participation in, or hosting of, any ride; (c) your User Content; or (d) your violation of these Terms or the Ride Code of Conduct.
16. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. You and Codebirds agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, for any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service.
17. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the Effective Date above and, where reasonable, notify you in the app. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
18. General
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remain in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and Ride Code of Conduct, are the entire agreement between you and Codebirds regarding the Service.
Let's Ride Along is built by Codebirds — a small, independent crew of developers who wanted a better way to organize motorcycle rides with people who care about the ride as much as they do. Codebirds isn't a registered company; it's just the name this crew ships under.
