Ride Code of Conduct

1. Why This Exists

Let's Ride Along only works if the community riding through it looks out for each other. This Ride Code of Conduct sets the ground rules for anyone using the Service — hosting a ride, joining one, or just hanging out in the community. It supplements our Terms of Service, including the Assumption of Risk section, which still applies in full.

2. Who This Applies To

Every registered user of Let's Ride Along, whether you're hosting, joining, spectating, or just browsing.

3. Ride Safely, Every Time

• Always wear a helmet and appropriate protective gear, and make sure your vehicle, license, registration, and insurance are valid and up to date.
• Never ride under the influence of alcohol or drugs, and never encourage or pressure another rider to.
• Ride within your own skill level. Don't push yourself, or let a host or group push you, beyond what you're comfortable and competent to handle.
• Obey traffic laws and speed limits. It's a public road, not a track — no racing.
• Check the weather, your route, and your bike before you ride.

4. Respect Every Rider

• No harassment, hate speech, threats, or discrimination of any kind — including based on gender, race, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation, or the type/brand of motorcycle someone rides.
• No bullying, doxxing, or sharing someone's private information (phone number, home address, exact location) without their consent.
• Disagreements happen — keep them civil, on and off the road.

5. Be Honest

• Keep your profile, garage, and bike details accurate. Don't impersonate anyone else or create fake/duplicate accounts.
• RSVP honestly. If your plans change, update your RSVP so hosts can plan around it.
• Don't fake ride check-ins, routes, or achievements to inflate your rank, XP, or badges.

6. Hosting a Ride

• Communicate clearly: meeting point, time, pace, and route, before the ride starts.
• You're not obligated to accept every rider into your ride, but decline for legitimate reasons, not because of anything covered in Section 4.
• Hosting a ride does not make you responsible for other riders' safety, and does not make Codebirds an insurer or guarantor of the ride. Everyone who joins does so under the same Assumption of Risk in our Terms of Service.

7. Photos & Memories

• Get consent before posting a clear, identifiable photo of another rider.
• No explicit, illegal, or gratuitously graphic content (including of accidents or injuries).
• Respect others' privacy — don't post images or details that reveal someone's home, workplace, or other sensitive location without their OK.

8. Reporting a Problem

If someone breaks this Code, or you feel unsafe, email we@letsridealong.com with as much detail as you can (usernames, ride, screenshots). We review every report.

9. What Happens If This Code Is Broken

Depending on severity, we may issue a warning, temporarily suspend an account, remove content, or permanently ban a user from the Service — at our discretion, and without needing to give advance notice.

10. This Code Isn't a Safety Guarantee

Following this Code reduces risk, but riding is still inherently dangerous. This Code does not change, limit, or replace the Assumption of Risk, Disclaimer of Warranties, or Limitation of Liability sections of our Terms of Service, which continue to apply in full.
