Left Hebbal at 4:50 AM for a “No Breakfast Ride” — Kodakarai & Panchapalli Dam. (12/09/2026)
This one started early — 4:50 AM from Hebbal. I was riding with a Guerrilla 450, and with my fully-systemed Norifumi Xpulse 200 4V, we covered the 49 km to our meetup point at Attibele in about an hour. Once we reached Attibele, the rest of the group joined in: Dominar 400, Triumph Speed T4, Himalayan 450 x 2, Honda CB350RS, Guerrilla 450, and Xpulse 200 4V.
After everyone arrived, we headed towards our first stop — Kodakarai. Kodakarai is known for wildlife activity, and we were hoping to spot some wildlife along the way. The road itself was the main attraction. It was an extremely twisty climb with a lot of corners all the way up. We found a small viewpoint along the way, stopped for some photos and enjoyed the scenery.
After reaching the checkpost, we turned around and came back the same way. This is where the ADV riders decided to explore a different route: one of the Himalayans and my Xpulse took a detour into a jungle trail and eventually reconnected with the main road. Exploring the trail with the bikes was exactly what the Xpulse was built for.
From there, we headed towards Panchapalli Dam. The route to Panchapalli was the highlight of the ride. The twisties completely transformed the ride. It doesn't matter what bike you own — if you're anywhere around Bangalore or Hosur, this is one route you should try. By the time we finished that stretch and started heading back, it was around 11 AM. Finally reached home around 1:30 PM. Another solid Saturday ride!
