Royal Enfield is keen on expanding the Himalayan family to attract more buyers into their popular and celebrated motorcycle family. We're talking about the soon-to-launch Himalayan 440 with the LS440 engine which we first experienced in Scram 440. Ahead of its launch, units have started to arrive at dealerships showing us what to expect from this popular ADV motorcycle.
The current Himalayan 450 with the Sherpa 450 engine is priced between Rs 3.08 lakh and Rs 3.4 lakh (Ex-sh). The upcoming Himalayan 440 is expected to be positioned much lower in terms of pricing, attracting customers who missed the relaxed, torquey character of the original Himalayan 411.
From the units spotted at dealer stockyards, the Himalayan 440 features the classic round halogen/LED headlamp, high-mount front beak, rugged fuel tank guards, and a dedicated Tripper navigation pod next to the analogue-digital instrument console. It runs on a 21-inch front and 17-inch rear wire-spoke wheel combination, paired with dual-channel ABS and long-travel telescopic suspension.
